Noise:

Please be aware that this is a very old building, so there is some inevitable noise that travels up to the bedrooms. We have made special physical alterations to mitigate this and we do our best to make sure that this is reasonable (where we can), particularly early morning and late at night, but there may be some more noise than in, say, a purpose-built modern hotel.

Room Security:

We recommend that you keep your bedroom locked when vacant. You are responsible for your possessions during your stay.

Smoking and vaping is not permitted anywhere inside the building under any circumstance. We have a no tolerance policy, and should you smoke anywhere in the building you will be charged a £100 cleaning fee. White House Hotel History

Built in the late 1800s, The White House Hotel and its neighbour were originally the gatehouse for the Mayfield estate behind us. The White House Hotel has seen many decades of holidaymakers but, purchased by us in July 2020 where our focus was on opulence, luxury and timeless elegance, with a hybrid of contemporary and classical furniture balanced off with fine art adorning the walls.  We have worked with leading interior designers to create an oasis of calm and elegance to enable you our guests to relax and unwind from the moment they arrive.
